Friends daughter was getting 13mpg in her jeep, so I decided to give it a tuneup. I think it needed it.

Burnt plugs were gapped over .050

Cap, rotor, plugs, and wires run $30 total. Then I found the real issue. Whomever attempted the last tuneup snapped a cap bolt inside the distributor, meaning only one bolt securing the cap and allowing the cap to bounce around. Of course you cant drill/tap/coil it, so i can either throw on a new dizzy or zip-tie and pray. Its the littlest things that throw off the easiest jobs.

The zip tie and pray worked on my Jeep for a while, though at certain RPMs harmonic vibrations did their thing and it was not happy.
